I worked in summer 2008 in Bosnia and Herzegowina where I participated in 1st International Fine Artist Colony with the theme "with the art we save the culture which we inherited". I'm very, very much glad and happy to collect new good expiriences.

I'm so much thankful to my all international partitipants in my project and translated the titel of the same project in different languages!

Awesome ... how and what did you 'feel' during the time spent at the Colony?
Vlado Franjevic
dear Aaina, I felt a good and positive energy of most partitipants of colony and all bosnian people who I met there were ready to help us and were very much friendly! we had a good time and with some of partitipants I'll stay connected for sure for a long time and it's possible, we'll work in the future together... these are wonderful moments and pictures! the valley of the river una with its many old cities and ruines is very, very inspired!
Lutetia Bresciani
I'm glad you enjoyed the experience - I too bumped recently, into a Bosnian friend here and was surprised to see her expressing {+} energy... after having gone through a difficult life process... Any news media coverage on the UNA project yet?
Barbara Rapp

Vlado Franjevic
we had there a local TV house and a TV of federation, also a local radio and some newspapers wrote about. but I think they need more help to share the news with positive caracters! because, bad news are the best news as you know and that's not dificult to sale, but good news, good expiriences...
Vlado Franjevic

Dear Vlado, Thanks for sharing your wonderful work. did the water flow through your spiral? I did not see a picture . thank you so much for your inspiration of artistic power!
Vlado Franjevic
dear Miri, if you find the time, please look the photos and you'll much better understand everything! or, visit my slide-site where you can find a few nice slides to the theme BIHAC 08! thanks a lot for your attention and everything else!
Miri Fleisher
Thanks Vlado, I dont know why I thought it will be full of water from the Una river. Now I understand it is impossible in those conditions. Very impressive spiral in ground as it is! By the magic water of Una
Vlado Franjevic
Dear Miri, no worry about please... water will come in channel for sure. Later! In winter, or so... We'll see... and maybe inform... Thank you so much for Your attention. Have a good time there,
Miri Fleisher
Thanks Vlado for yor patience to my quetions. I think your spiral by the gorgeous river is like a present to the river. A holy place . I would like to read more about your thoughts. earth and water . Being a ceramist in my origins I admire earth-water works! Now I define myself an artist. I am sure you understand why.
Vlado Franjevic
dear Miri, you're welcome! this all world is full of presents just we can't see them and understand always in the best way... for me was a present to get the posibility to stay for a moment there and work. maybe you're right, maybe I gave something back... I understand this my art project, when is finished, as some kind of a new ritual place where ... I bring from all over around diferent imulses and energies which exchange with my little help. and big help of you all nice people who participate and send me your messages with which I travail. from the moment when I get your messages we're closed together and exchange energy waves. every my working process has one theme. 2004 in estland were ISOLATION, 2005 in serbia IF I WERE SERBIA... please visit if you like and have time this site there is a documentaion about my first spiral channel! I got short stories from different people from around to the them ISOLATION. also from mr. Jakob Kaplan from tel aviv, born as estonian! he wrote me about his own isolation in the II world war and his letter was read by my artis colleague Marcus Wiliams from auckland, new zaeland in the night of the promotion of my channel. in a wood, near to a small lake! that was totaly nice and full of mystic poetry. please believe me, we all people there were touched deeply. this was a big motivation for me to try to develop this kind of my working process! In serbia I worked in the small place called trsic. there were born the biggest reformer of serbian language vuk karadzic. it means, this place is one of most famous places of serbian culture and it's a kind of a few main points of serbian volks! me, born as a croat, was 2005 first time in serbia and worked with the theme IF I WERE SERBIA... it means, I got messages and graphics to the theme from different countries from around, travailed to serbia and show collected documents.
Vlado Franjevic
...some messages had in itself positive and some negative conotation about one country! my work was to raise to a power no one of this both, I just wanted show how and what people from around think and feel about serbia... I digged up my spiral channel with two simple people from the village. they helped me. and told a little bit about the past ... time. in a few restaurants I heard for sure more then 60% music from croatian rock and pop bands from 80's! and heard no one wrong and bad word about croatians, about me as a croat, or similar! this is also a present! it's good to talk about it! I'm thankful so much to miss Vesna Todorovic who made possible that I was invited to the artist colony in trsic. I'm blessed to find all the time people who trust me, cooperate and participate. without them, my idea wouldn't have any sence of course! thank you so much for your attention!
